Information we collect and why
When you submit a prayer intention or testimony, we collect your first name, last name, parish, town or city, your submitted text, your anonymous-posting choice, and the date and time. These details help the parish maintain a genuine and respectful pilgrimage space.
If you post anonymously, your name, parish, and town are stored for parish safeguarding and moderation but are not displayed on the public wall. Authorized parish moderators can review those stored details in the private moderation area. If you choose to show your identity, those details appear publicly with your post.
The “I am coming” count uses a random device identifier so the same browser is not counted repeatedly. Prayer reactions and Pilgrim Pass progress are saved locally on your device. We do not require an account, sell personal information, or use submitted details for advertising.
Cloudflare provides hosting, database, security, and abuse protection. Embedded Facebook media and links to Facebook or YouTube may be subject to those services' own privacy practices.
Posting guidelines
Keep every contribution prayerful and safe
- Share prayer intentions and testimonies in a respectful, truthful, and charitable way.
- Do not include phone numbers, home addresses, medical records, passwords, or financial information.
- Do not identify another person or share their story without permission.
- Do not post harassment, threats, discrimination, graphic content, advertising, or unrelated material.
- For emergencies or immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted pastoral professional; the Prayer Wall is not an emergency service.
- Posts may be hidden or removed when they violate these guidelines or place someone's privacy or safety at risk.
Data-retention policy
We keep information only for a defined purpose
Random device identifiers used for the attendance count will be deleted no later than December 31, 2026.
Pilgrim Pass stamps, prayer reactions, and attendance preference remain until you clear this site's browser data.
Your choices
Control what appears publicly
You may post anonymously or display your name, parish, and town. To request correction or removal of a submission, contact the parish office or message the parish through its official Facebook page. Include enough detail for the parish to locate the post, but do not send sensitive information through a public comment.
